1. Information We Do Not Collect
PeriCatch does not collect, store, or retain any personally identifiable health information. We do not require account creation, login credentials, email addresses, names, or any other personal identifiers to use the assessment tools. We do not use tracking pixels, analytics cookies, or third-party advertising.
2. How Data Is Processed
PeriCatch uses server-side processing to protect proprietary clinical decision logic.
When you complete an assessment, your symptom and history responses are sent to our secure servers. The server processes your data using our clinical algorithm and returns the results to your browser. This processing happens in real-time.
Your assessment data is never stored, logged, or retained on our servers. No database record is created. No log file captures your inputs. After the server returns your results, the input data is discarded. The results exist only in your browser session and are lost when you close the page or navigate away.
The server-side processing exists solely to protect intellectual property (the proprietary clinical algorithm), not to collect or aggregate health data.
3. Cookies and Local Storage
PeriCatch uses browser local storage for two purposes only:
- Theme preference (light/dark mode): stored under the key "pc-theme". This is not health data.
- Consent acknowledgment (individual preparation tool only): stored under the key "pc-visit-consent". This records only that you accepted the terms, not any health data.
PeriCatch does not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or any third-party cookies.
4. Third-Party Services
PeriCatch uses Lovable Cloud for server-side processing infrastructure. Assessment data transits Edge Functions for real-time processing but is not stored in any database, log, or storage service.
PeriCatch does not share, sell, or transmit your data to any third party for advertising, analytics, research, or any other purpose.
5. Data You Choose to Share
The "Copy Summary" and "Print Summary" features generate a text summary of your assessment results. This summary is created in your browser and placed on your clipboard or sent to your printer. PeriCatch does not transmit this summary to any server. How you share this summary (with your healthcare provider, by email, or otherwise) is entirely within your control.
6. Children's Privacy
PeriCatch is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly process data from minors.
7. HIPAA Notice
PeriCatch is not a covered entity under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Because PeriCatch does not store, retain, or maintain any protected health information (PHI), HIPAA's data storage, breach notification, and business associate requirements do not apply. If PeriCatch's data practices change in the future to include PHI storage, we will update this policy and implement all required HIPAA safeguards before any such change takes effect.
8. Future Changes
If PeriCatch introduces features that collect, store, or transmit personal health information (such as user accounts, saved assessments, or longitudinal tracking), we will update this Privacy Policy before any such feature is activated and will obtain explicit user consent. We will never retroactively apply a less protective privacy policy to data collected under a prior version.
